Pastor Chris Brown

Pastor Chris Brown

Pastor Chris Brown was saved at the age of six, and less than a year later, his family found their church home at Maranatha Bible Church. Pastor Chris grew up here– a member of the church and a graduate of Zanesville Christian School. After obtaining a degree in Business Administration, Pastor Chris worked for a number of years in the oil and gas business. During this time, Pastor Chris surrendered to God’s call upon his life to preach, and in 1998, he was called to be the pastor of New Lexington Bible Church. He pastored there for fourteen years, during which time he furthered his biblical education at Bob Jones University in the area of General Biblical Studies. In 2012, God moved Pastor Chris and his family back to Maranatha where he served as the Associate Pastor and Director of Maranatha Missions Board. After Pastor Dale McCallister was named Pastor Emeritus in 2017, the church called Pastor Chris to be the Senior Pastor. Pastor Chris serves on the Board of Directors of Buckeye Christian School Organization and also serves as their Athletic Director.  He has also traveled to several mission fields, preaching in Mexico City, India, and the Philippine Islands. He and his wife, Cathy, have been married for thirty-five years, and they have two children, Eric and Cara, and one grandchild, Jack.
